No longer on the fence ... I am unashamedly and gleefully a fan of Glee

I admit it. I originally got caught up in the media hysteria that is Glee. You know, that new television series from the same network that brings us Cops. (Okay, okay I was reaching here looking for the worst Fox show but to be honest they do have some decent stuff including the very subversive and very funny American Dad and Family Guy. And of course, The Simpsons).

But I digress. What I really wanted to take about was Glee.

After the first three episodes I was on the fence. It was fun and funny but it didn't touch me. That was until episode four titled
Preggers. While the main plot had to do with teen pregnancy the REAL story here was the very touching coming out of glee club member Cliff Hummel played by Chris Colfer.

After spending most of his time denying his homosexuality, Cliff finally articulates his homosexuality to his dad. The scene between father and son was truly based in reality and one of the most touching coming out scenes I have ever seen.
